How to weigh your Hermes parcel?
The weight of your Hermes parcel is important to calculate in order to make sure it arrives at its destination safely and quickly. Your parcel must not weight more than 15kg and must not be any longer than 120cm. The combined circumference must not be no more than 225cm. To calculate the circumference simply measure the width of the parcel, the half way point to the edge is the diameter. Pi (π) x the diameter = the circumference. For the parcel to be suitable to be sent through a letterbox it must be no more than 23cm wide, 35cm long, and between 1-3cm deep. Any measurements outside of these guidelines will not be letter box friendly and will be delivered as a parcel. Using scales is the recommended way to calculate the weight of a parcel. We also recommend using a ruler for measurements.
Why is the weight and measurements important?
Hermes structures its pricing based on weight and measurements. If submitted, a parcel with the incorrect weight or measurements will be classed as oversized or overweight and a penalty can incur.

Hermes Coronavirus response
There is currently no direct impact in Hermes delivery service, but you will see some differences in how your parcel will be delivered in order to reduce physical contact and protect yourself and Hermes couriers.
This means that customers are encouraged to divert parcels to a safe place. If a safe place has not been chosen a safe place will automatically be chosen by the courier when arriving to the destination. This will be updated to customers in an email. If the courier cannot locate a safe place at the destination you won't be asked to sign a handling device but the courier will knock on the door, take a step back, and then take a picture of the parcel once it is in your doorway.
