Exporting to China form the UK

Customs documents for China
Customs documents are required if you are sending parcels over to China. Customs duties will also apply based on the value of the items that you are sending and you will need to provide the recipient’s telephone number as any charges will be addressed to them.
Normally, parcels will be exempt from duties and tax if the goods are worth less than 500 Yuan. Shipments that are worth more than 1,000 Yuan will have to pass through formal customs clearance which means your shipment could be delayed while this process is carried out.

Useful information for sending a parcel to China
Any shipments made out of wood, cane, bamboo and rattan including items packages in wooden crates or pallets will be inspected by customs. Wooden items would need to be fumigated or require a Phytosanitary Certificate from the Plant Phytosanitary Authorities. If it is a processed wooden item in the package then it does not require this certificate, but the recipient must provide a statement of how the wood was processed.
