How to send books

Parcelpal’s guide to shipping books

Can I ship books?

Yes, absolutely! Here at Parcelpal we will accept the shipment of books to any of our 220 destinations worldwide as long as they are packaged correctly.

How to package books

When package books it is important to make sure you protect the contents as much as you can.

We recommend using bubble wrap or bubble pockets to encase the book in the parcel box. If the parcel box still has extra space inside, we recommend using extra bubble wrap or foam chips.

We always recommend that our customers do not use second hand or old parcel boxes as these may not last the parcels journey and will compromise the contents. Use a new, strong parcel box that is a suitable size for the number of books you are sending.

You can reinforce the parcel box to make it stronger with parcel tape or a staple gun on the corners to make it extra secure.

If you feel the books you are sending are of particular value you can put fragile tape around the outside of the box so the courier knows to take extra care with your parcel.

How much does it cost to send a book?

Here at Parcelpal we pride ourselves on offering our customers the best prices on the market when sending parcels. Our prices start from as little as £2.29 exc VAT.

The estimated price for sending your book/books all depends on the size and weight of the parcel. To get a free instant quote today visit our website here.

How to send a book internationally

There are only a few destinations within our list of countries we send too that have restrictions on books being sent into the country. China is one of the destinations that does not allow books. You must check with the specific countries restrictions up to the day you send the parcel to ensure that specific country will accept your parcel.

For parcels being sent outside of the EU or to The Channel Islands (Jersy, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm, and Sark), Andorra, The Canary Islands, Gibraltar, San Marino, and The Vatican you will need to complete a customs declaration form and be prepared to pay customs duty.
