When you are sending to America then you will need to provide a customs document or a customs invoice to show what your goods are and also the value of your goods. This is checked by the customs authorities so that they can assess if you will need to pay any duty or tax. When writing your customs invoice, please be as detailed as you can.
Any goods that are declared a gift that are under $200 are exempt from duties and tax and it must be sent to a residential address or else it may be taxed especially if you are sending it to a business address. If your parcel has any tax or duties applied then they will contact the receiver and they will need to pay.
